Jaron and Alex’s Rainy Mellon Park Engagement Session

Jaron and Alex traveled all the way from Savannah, Georgia to have their engagement session in Pittsburgh. These two cuties are getting married at The National Aviary in June, and were in the area visiting family and friends.

During their visit, we had less than ideal weather, with showers most of the week. This is quite typical Pittsburgh weather. Fortunately, we were able to squeeze out a few hours of calm and overcast weather to create some beautiful photos in Pittsburgh’s Mellon Park.

If you haven’t noticed, Mellon Park is quite a favorite of ours for sessions. It is one of the larger parks in Pittsburgh and features unique landmarks such as the walled garden and the fountain.

We have photographed at Mellon Park almost every season and it remains looking gorgeous any time of year.

Jaron and Alex came prepared with tons of outfit choices, which we always recommend. Although these two would look great in anything, we suggested muted colors and neutrals. Jaron’s deep blue outfit really popped beside Alex’s floral romper.
