Samantha and Kirk’s Mellon Park Engagement Session

Samantha and Kirk are a unique couple who both share a love for hockey and their dog, Nanook. I was so excited when they reached out and told us that they wanted to incorporate her into their engagement session!

As big animal lovers, we always encourage couples to bring their furry family member to their session. We have had as many as 3 dogs in a single session!

We decided on Mellon Park as the couple’s session location. This park is in the Shadyside and Point Breeze neighborhoods of Pittsburgh and provides a perfect backdrop for the nature-loving couple. It also provides variety with it’s walled garden and unique landscape.

Nanook smiled for nearly every single photo! So photogenic ♡

Fun fact: we photographed Sam and Kirk’s engagement session exactly one year out from their wedding date!
